Well, Fripp easily gets my vote for being the man who has kept KC going throughout it's over 40 year history. Ian McDonald, Bill Bruford, Jamie Muir, Mel Collins, Adrian Belew, Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto also receive honourable mentions

Yeah, but Cross's violin parts on USA are overdubbed by one Jobson, who later played on UK with Wetton and Bruford. The version I have of that concert features the original parts by David Cross... though someone just mentioned on another thread that Jobson's overdubs are suposed to be somewhat better.

Based on the votes received there are a couple of interesting facts:
1) Bill Bruford received the most votes, even more than RF! I think they would both find that amusing for very different reasons
2) Based on the 6 highest vote receivers, it seems that PA members would be happy if RF reunited a "double trio - three bassist" lineup consisting of:
RF - Guitar Adrian Belew - Guitar/Vox Greg Lake - Bass/Vox Bill Bruford - Drums Tony Levin - Bass/Stick John Wetton - Bass/Vox
What do you think of this new "double trio"?

^ ... over Robert by seven votes, which is also interesting, ... which I can understand. I mean, people by now may be tired of voting for him. Levin over Wetton by 14 ... hm ... .

Bruford's probably my favourite musician ever, so that's an easy vote for me. I just love his drum style, it's very inspiring.

What! No votes for Andy?!? Man I love his loose drumming on Lizard. So hard to duplicate, it's insane.
