Both of these have very similar piano melodies, but at the same time, completely different. Which do you perfer?

Since there is no 'Both'- option I give the edge to Take a Pebble.

Take a Pebble, as my favourite track by Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

I perfer Take a Pebble, dag nabbit! But seriously, ELP and Kansas are at two entirely different levels of prog, and ELP is, of course, towards the top. Take a Pebble demonstrates that thoroughly when juxtaposed against what I feel is a nominal effort like Song For America.

That's a tough one.....the first ELP album is my favorite by them and that might be my favorite Kansas album.
Went with Pebble because that first ELP album holds many memories for me from college days.

ELP all the way. Take a Pebble is one of their best.
