Can't really think of to many prog bands with 3 or 4 part harmony vocals. These are the only well-known groups I can think of. I'm sure there are some other obscure groups out there. Maybe you all can fill me in. As for these, I go with the Moody Blues.

I'm not that familiar with the Moodies, so I have to go for Yes.

Gentle Giant? Their vocal harmonies make the others on your list sound pretty thin.

^^Agreed. Pantagruel's Nativity...wow...just wow.
Actually, I think my favorite harmonies come from a non-prog band, the mighty King's X.

Nyeh! I don't know about that. The Mooodies I thought were pretty full and robust. Especially on Lost Chord.

Sorry. Didn't know Queen was now in the Archives. It must've been recent.

sure I'm not the only one wondering where Gentle Giant is for an option. For the above choices, will go will the Moody Blues, though agree Yes has some incredible vocal melodies.

Sorry for no Gentle Giant. I've only heard a handful of their stuff and that was many moons ago and I just never got into them. One of the few prog bands I never really cared for.

I voted for pink floyd just for us and them, I cant even sing the melody because the harmonies mess me up.

Uriah Heep was amazing - specially the five-part harmony of Box, Byron, Hensley, Kerslake, Thain.

BJH had better harmonies that all of 'em, except maybe the Moody Blues.
Listen to Live Tapes from '78...the vocals are beyond beautiful.

The harmony vocals on YES annoy me most of the times. Am I the only one ?
Gentle Giant are by far better in harmony. Just listen to On reflection !!

I agree that Gentle Giant have the quintessential vocal harmony; others can't compare!

When there were four of them singing, the Moodies were
untouchable.......Isn't Life strange still evokes
goosebumps.........too bad things changed and we all grow older......
I've always enjoyed Chris's harmony with Jon......but Steve has never
been a fave for me when it comes to backing
vox.........pee-you..........
GG's harmonics and counterpoint were always interesting to me, but I never cared much for their lead vox.....
Moodies for me!

I'll chime in that GG and Queen have got to be in the running.
Out of this group, I'd say it's a close race between Yes and The Moody Blues.
I, for one, love Porcupine Tree's vocal harmonies. "Mellotron Scratch" from Deadwing has a phenomenal vocal section at the end.

Well I can't expect the Corrs to be here so I went with Moody Blues. Specifically with In The Eyes of a Child in my head.

Hah, you beat me to it... when Morse, Portnoy, Stolt, and Trewavas all
sing at the same time, it's incredibly powerful and beautiful.
I agree with those who said Gentle Giant, though... nobody can touch
them in terms of vocal harmonies. And, like many others, I voted for
Yes from the choices in the poll.

Has to be YES!!!! Even though I love the Moody Blues.
Though, Gentle Giant on the other hand, would have made the choice impossible .

Yes from that list.
Also, Queen, Gentle Giant and Glass Hammer (especially on Shadowlands. Love the female harmony parts)

Yes from the list- although most are only three part vocals. Transatlantic did (sad that there will probably be no more) a fantastic job with 4 part harmonies
