Has anybody got this and is prepared to comment? There are no neutral reviews I could find on the Net and the track listing looked a bit like 'old group tries to drum up custom by resurrecting previous song titles'.

I have this double cd anthology, in which there's also Nada Moonshine...is a strange track, somehow "theatrical"...I should listen to it more times to have a correct opinion...

See you soon,

Andrea

There is no resurrecting of old tracks on "Nada Moonshine #" (What gives you the impression?). However, the record has a flaw: The lyrics are really in "school English", which is all the more astonishing since Amon Düül 2 seemed to have an excellent mastery of the English language on their previous records. This flaw makes it very hard to listen to the record, in my opinion, although the music itself is not that bad.

Exact, I like the lyrics from especially "Tanz Der Lemminge" and the "Yeti" very clever and weird lyrics and the blend of German accent is cool also.

The two above mentioned with their first album "Phallus Dei" are amongst my favourite and I'll allways love them, they are "growers"... they get better for every listen.

For some hours ago I was in horizontal state with the light off and "Tanz Der Lemminge" in headphones, this album is amongst the best and most creative works of music ever made.

Some says that "Tago Mago" by Can are more progressive, haunting, psychedelic and so on, "Tago Mago" is a very good album but theirs not much done there.

I believe that Can changed a bit in musical style and efort after Amon Düül II released the great "Yeti".

I like "Nada Moonshine #" a lot, although a lot of Düül fans hate it. It's
basically an attempt to fuse elements of their earlier sound with modern
music (including a lot of elements appropriated from dance music,
although it is certainly NOT a dance album). Generally, it's very
successful, particularly on the opening track "Casteneda-Da-Dream".

I like it a lot too. It's an excellent come back. The only track that is a resurrected earlier song is "Speed inside my shoes" but even the title has changed, the old title was "I Can't Wait part 2".

"Flawless", which was released after "NM#", is mainly a compilation of resurrected material though.
