This time we have two records from different centuries, both very well-received and beloved by many, but which one will collect more forum user votes?
'The Underfall Yard' or 'Song for America'? Vote and comment.

We're not talking about the new version of the Underfall Yard are we? I'm a huge Big Big Train fan but I don't think The Underfall Yard presents them at their best. With English Electric Part 1 they enter an entire new world. Song for America is one of Kansas's best songs. Have to give it to Kansas.

Song For America. The combination of organ and piano is just so delightful , great lyrics and wonderful drums. It comes together very nicely.
I tend to agree with Luvmarillion that BBT peaked later although for me it was Folklore and especially The Transit of Venus across the Sun that did it. However saying that, Master James Of St George may have got my vote as I totally love that track!

Song For America changed my life, still one of my favorite songs of all time. I like Big Big Train a lot, but The Underfall Yard has never done it for me, maybe it would have been more exciting to me at the time, without the context of the works that follow it.

Here's a video of me playing the 9/16 section on Piano, the instrument this song inspired me to pick up!

It's a tough call, but I'll vote for Kansas, if only by a little margin.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson
