I have listened to Enchant - Changes, but don't know any other ones, is this a full album, official release or just someone making a youtube playlist?

Yes, Tales from Yesterday is an official album release and it's listed on ProgArchives under Various Artists.

I have this release and I like a lot of it. I think these are the real outstanding tracks. I always prefer covers that don't just mimic the original arrangements.
Robert Berry - Roundabout
Magellan - Don't Kill The Whale
Shadow Gallery - Release Release
Peter Banks - Astral Traveller
Jeronimo Road - Starship Trooper
Now, as to which I like best...man that's a tough one. It's going to be between Robert Berry, Magellan and Shadow Gallery.

Ok, after a few listens through of each one I have to go with Magellan - Don't Kill The Whales

I think Annie sounds beautiful on Turn of the Century. I voted for that, but Berry's Roundabout is an unexpected treat.

My favourite songs on Tales from Yesterday are Annie Haslam & Steve Howe's beautiful "Turn of the Century", followed closely by World Trade's wonderful "Wonderous Stories, but I also love the song below, which isn't on the album.
Sonja Kristina - Soon (from the Curved Air Family Album (2019))

I did have this album many years ago, I seem to remember Turn of the Century was pretty good.

Voted Magellan, great cover

This is a nicely done album. My vote goes to Turn of the Century.

I dig the Haslam and Howe combo.

It's funny, I wondered if AH/SH would get a lot of votes. It is a nice, pretty tune and Annie's voice is spectacular as always. I think for me, since I enjoy more of Yes' rowdy, boppy, groovin stuff, it was the arrangements of the three I mentioned earlier that elevated them as covers. I can see Turn of the Century winning this one pretty handily.

Cairo. RIP Bret Douglas (vocals).
I really miss this band. They were one of the first "new" prog bands I discovered when I began listening to prog again in the 1990s. Sadly, Trent Gardner of Magellan is also not with us any longer. Thank goodness a local record store was selling these Magna Carta tribute albums at the time or I might have missed out on these bands (or at least discovered them much, much later).

I'm tempted to buy Tales from Yesterday, seeing as the CD is only £5.50 on Amazon at the moment.

I got it since its issue , not bad but nothing immortal or even essential but for 5,5 quids you risk nothing, good listening

The Gardner brothers are both gone.
I first heard Magellan when (I forget where I got it) I heard their second album Impending Ascension. Then I went back and got the debut, Hour of Restoration...on cassette! I bought it specifically for a road trip.
Yeah, those were the days: Magellan, Cairo, Enchant, Planet X (the very first one, billed to Derek Sherinian). For some reason, I never got into Shadow Gallery, though I knew of them. I used to frequent the Perpetual Motion forum in the late '90s, which is where I heard about a lot of prog-metal bands.

Everything you said, with the exception that since I listen to this tribute quite often, I didn't have to do 15 minute pause

I didn't know Wayne Gardner and Bret Douglas had passed away. Very good bands, indeed.

I have only heard Turn of the Century on this one, and I love it. I don't think I can say she sings it better than Jon Anderson, but just as good she does (not in vain they are both two of my favourite singers). But mostly, I do miss the rest of the band on this version... great guitar from Howe himself, of course, but it is notable that it's missing the rest of Yes (except for the vocals, of course).

I'll have to buy this if it's that's cheap.
The only Yes cover I care much for (that I've heard) is South Side Of Sky which appeared on Glass Hammer's Culture of Ascent album.

It's good to see Turn of the Century went on to win by a comfortable margin. It's easily the best song in the poll for me.

Haslam/Howe : Turn of the century ( the only track with a real 'plus') a decent tribute with the obvious weaknesses of the genre Back in 1995 , the prog sellers were scarce or far abroad, so this kind of cds was a passable ersatz
