I wonder how you'd react if someone mocked a band you loved.
Empathy is hard...

People mock the albums I love all the time, so I've learned to take it on the chin.

Not Metal but my favourite album on the list is Opeth's Damnation. Wasteland and Train Of Thought round out my top three.
------------- "The wind is slowly tearing her apart"
"Sad Rain" ANEKDOTEN

Opeth from this list, but it's not really progressive metal or metal at all.

It's that Fates Warning guy checking in!
Also, Tourniquet's Where Moth and Rust Destroy (their seventh album) is better than Train of Thought and the very overrated Damnation.

Lots of great albums here... Death, Symphony X, Dream Theater, Opeth, and Ayreon were all in the running for me, but in the end, I had to pick Voivod instead. The Outer Limits is right up there with Dimension Hatross as one of their best albums, and I find Jack Luminous to be one hell of an underrated epic

Best album on the list for my money. And I am going to go out on a limb and guess he hasn't even listened to it.
To be fair, as much as I enjoy TSoP, there is an extremely vocal minority who seems to sh*t on it more than any other Death album. At least that's what I've noticed on other music sites... I think a lot of it comes down to its high-pitched vocals and perceived amount of noodling (though personally I never considered those to be problems with the record. I guess they're an acquired taste)
