The other composer of No Opportunity Necessary No Experience Needed is Jerome Moross, there was not enough room to write it in the proper place, sorry.

You can take as reference the version you like the best when more than one exist.

I think that my fave is Everydays, but i'm going to take a little while to meditate...

I voted for Paul Simon's America, which Yes used to showcase Howe's lead guitar, and thus adding a whole other dimension to the song. Note that most of these tracks come from very early in their career, which was common practice at the time.

They all have their charms but America shows what a more confident band can do with an interpretation.

My favorite is a Steve Howe- Dylan cover with Jon Anderson on vocals.

I didn't know the positive boys did a version of Imagine.

"America" might be their best cover, but I voted for "No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Needed."

The poll is missing the songs from the Yes catalogue performed after Chris Squire's passing. B)

Which ones?

tough choice between America and NONNEN, I've gone for the latter because I love it and it has 2 different covers in it.

Neither did I. Having listened to it I wish they hadn't.

I can't stand the original song anymore either.

I went with Everydays, the way Bill Bruford commands the instrumental charge is just fantastic.
I'm not surprised to see America winning the pole (maybe a bit too easy), but for the rest seems to be another story, I still want to see what will happen with them.

America.
Love when Squire plays a sample from Bernstein.

I Imagined the John Lennon cover would win this poll easily. Wrong again! Embarrassed

With America Yes showed what 5 first rate talents can do with a song

I think Yes' version of America is kind of awful. I much prefer No Opportunity Necessary No Experience Needed and Every Little Thing. I think I'll vote fot the latter.
