Do you know any progressive rock albums that feature furry artwork? If you're not sure what it is, search up some examples, as there are plenty online. Birds absolutely count!

These are the albums I've managed to find myself so far (the Haken album is not a prefect example of the "furry" type of anthropomorphism I'm looking for but it's better than nothing):

I'd love to check out some more. :P And please don't post AI generated images. I'm sick of that crap.

PS: I've done album covers for my music featuring this sorta characters but I don't want to do any self promos here.

Apparently, the equivalent for birds is "avians" or "featheries" (according to my Google search), and I've been told the reptile equivalent is "scalies."

That is correct! Avian furries are fuсking based, man! Especially ducks. xD Not much of a scalie fan myself. :P I found this fan work some time ago. Every prog fan will know which band/album it is referencing:

Looks like you don't yet understand what gives anthropomorphic furry charactes that distinct vibe.

Ellesmere - Stranger Skies

ELLESMERE discography and reviews

I was considering adding that Ellsmere thing to the list but the anthropomorphism of the character is somewhere between 5 and 6 on that scale. I'm looking for art at about 2.5 to 4.

I'm sure you'll find happiness in some of Roger Dean's artworks for Budgie.

Bandolier is alright but the anthropomorphism in it is very patchy. The heads look a bit too much like real-life birds for my tastes. xD But anyway, I forgot to add this excellent Chilean masterpiece to my original post:

I love this one.

Bob Drake has a bunch more covers that fall into this category (no surprise since he's an IRL fursuiter!)

I'm aware of that. :) I even included a Bob Drake cover art in my original post. B)

Hi,

Illusions on a Double Dimple ... the TRIUMVIRAT album cover with the mouse. Though it's been said to not be a good "anthro" ... so much for furryness!

Not really "furry" but the anthropomorphism is there and the artwork has a cool cartoony comic book vibe to it.

Love the one from Swans obviously (and Foxtrot), but the rest of these covers hurt my eyes. Guess I'm not a furry - which is just as well:)

All of the wonderful minimalist chamber-prog-jazz/modern classical ensemble Penguin Café Orchestra's (in Eclectic at PA) albums feature humans with penguin heads:

+ a couple of "hot ones" from from the relatively decent jazzrock-krauters Missus Beastly:

Maybe it’s because I work with kids, but I’ve always found it creepy when grown-ups start focusing on overtly child-related stuff…and then trying to cram that through the adult world. I saw it first with guys getting into My Little Pony and now with the whole furry segment. Can’t be healthy in the long run.
The worst is when folks start sexualising this stuff.

Alright I’ve said my piece. My bad.

Quote overtly child-related stuff
Which is absolute bs if you ask me. Cute and bright colored aesthetics should not be exclusive to children's media. Said preconception only limits the artists' pool of forms of expression. The reason it's perceived that way by the normie crowd is due to how corporations have long been marketing media targeted to children. But today, thankfully, it's starting to change.

The people who liked some specific comic book or animated piece of media as kids are now adults are they're still allowed to like it. I personally think that the candy coated aesthetic, though (usually) family-friendly, is perfect for people of all ages.

And besides, you're confusing two completely different fandoms. My Little Pony is a kids' TV show that happened to have writing and characters good enough for the viewerbase to expand onto mature people too, and then expand onto furries (whether you like it or not). Furry fandom on the other hand, is and has always been mostly adult-oriented and often focused on sexualization.

There's a heck ton of adult or "not specifically for kids" furry media. I recommend you look up:

Furries and the My Little Pony crowd both revolve around taking the cuddly nature of children’s toys and moving it into a sex thing. You can justify this however you want - still doesn’t change the underlying act of taking something that is for kids and perverting it.
We have enough stuff to get aroused by these days - going down into the kids’ world for further inspiration makes me a little sick tbh.

Rule 34 applies. Always. I don't think however that you should really use it to generalize all people who enjoy nsfw and sfw cartoon anthropomorphism into your convenient strawman stereotype.

Seems like you have plenty of folks into it. Should be room for a down-vote as well methinks.
Just because I disagree with you doesn’t necessarily mean that I am using the old strawman strategy. I get that my previous posts didn’t exactly jive with you, but let’s not go down that route. I have a right to have an opinion - just like you have;)

Hey, at the end of the day, I'm glad that you at least understand that it's a matter of opinion. We're good. :)
