Hi mates,

The Claudio Milano and Sincopatici album is currently the top 1 album in progressive electronic for 2024, but it's strangely disappeared by the 2024 top 100.
I don't think they have received any bogus 5 stars, and even if so, it should have disappeared also from the PE ranking and the total star rate decreased.

Does anybody know what happened?

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

I do. This has something to do with that unreliable Query Weighted Rating system, which is used for compilation of these lists. In this system, the ratings and the number of ratings of the participating albums influence each other.

When I select minimum average rating value greater than or equal to 1 and the max of 250 albums in the list, this album, which has 12 ratings, still does not appear; from the PE subgenre only the Zombi album with 16 ratings pops up at 166.

I almost always select:
1 for Filter: Minimum Number of Ratings
And 1 for Filter: Minimum Average Rating Value

And I usually set it to top 250 incidentally.

It's ranked at #31 in that chart list with those filters that I use because I get better results generally.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

I was also surprised to see that airbag album drop to 84. It was flying high at the beginning/middle of the year. Geordie Greep dropped significantly also. I think the amount of ratings play a significant part in whether or not an album will rank at all. Not sure though.
