Hey everyone.
I started off listening to Dream Theatre when I borrowed an album from my friend. I liked what I heard!
I now listen to such bands as Spock's Beard, Dt (duh), Enchant, Pain of Salvation, Evergrey, Judas Priest, ROnnie James Dio, Edguy, Iced Earth, Symphony X and lots of others along similar veins.
I live in Australia and there is almost nowhere I can go to get any prog, which is a great dissapointment :(

I hope I can find some new awesome bands here!

Hi Duskfighter I also live in Australia and experience

The same lack of prog here. Try Yes and Genesis

There seems to be an abundance of it floating around.

Welcome to the board.

Please give Glass Hammer a try. America's best prog band.

I agree. Try The Inconsolable Secret, Lex Rex, Shadowland or Chronometree. They are all a lot more accessable. The Middle Earth album is NOT where you want to start with GH.
