Choose the topic you hated the most. I'll go for those "overrated / underrated" threads. "This my band that I know to be the most extraordinary band of them all because it is truth and is so very underrated and we should all pay for this horrible sin of ignorance..." / "That band I don't like and I seriously don't know how human beings can stand that horrible noise anyway you should all listen to me and throw those band's albums through the window because my musical taste is so highly ilustrated let me decide for you..."
Sorry, but it gets me.

I dunno, 'cause I haven't been here for long. But on DDD, there used to
be "rate the user" threads, and they scored people by post count,
quality of posts, intelligence, uniqueness, wit, etc. It was just faggoty,
literally. I hope people don't do that here.

On a sh*tty local music board I frequent they have a survivor-style elimination thread where they vote users off the board -- then ban them.
seemed counter-productive to me.

Oh!... I also hate those ones... if there were at least a price of somekind. And the worst thing is that someimtes you write something because you need help with a band or something, but everyones is arguing about one of the albums over the other...

hahahah agreed epecially if you add the "classic song vs classic song"
threads... especially albums that have no commen thread or similarity
at all. My favorite was the 'Set the controls for the heart of
sun' vs. oh what was it... 'The Gates of Delirium' thread.

Very funny though! That's one way to get rid of those annoying a**holes who post pithy crap and love to run on about how musically sophisticated they are and how great their favorite band is and how whatever the hell they bought from a cutout bin last weekend is pure crap and how charming their smelly cats are and ....<hey, how come this link doesn't work any more?>

My cat is severely underrated in his technicality - he's definitely more technical than the next guy's dog. That said, he's a lot less progressive than 70s' cats.

As has already been said here -
1 - any thread with the title "best" or "worst" in its title.
2 - "chalk" vs "cheese" threads
3 - "rate my..." threads
4 - Really funny, intelligent, prescient threads, the idea for which I didn't think of first (i.e. all of them)

I find it annoying to see so many "punk sucks" and "modern rock sucks" threads. I also include any "punk tried to kill prog". Prog is great music but there's no need to avoid listening to punk if you like it. If you don't, fine but why run it down? If punk sucks so much and prog is such a highly evolved art form, how do you explain "Love Beach"?
Besides, you can't dance to prog. You better learn to apreciate other forms of music, then you can go some public place (let's face it, they probably won't play prog) and you can dance along to the music. For some of you on this thread: IF YOU CAN ENJOY OTHER FORMS OF MUSIC, YOU COULD EVEN DANCE WITH A REAL WOMAN INSTEAD OF SITTING IN YOUR ROOM LISTENING TO "SUPPER'S READY" FOR THE HUNDREDTH TIME.
Sorry, had to get that off my chest. I know this doesn't apply to most on this thread but there are some who could benefit from what I just typed.
