Guys, the bad news first... This poll isn't going to last long! Didn't you see the ban on new Rush and DT polls posted by Tony last week?
BTW, for what it's worth, I voted for the mighty "Xanadu" .

Well, this is not a comparison poll between DT and Rush... therefore unlikely to bring up stupid comments. It's an appreciative poll, nothing more. I fail to see how a poll such as this can become problematic, as it is on different songs by the same band.
I hope Tony makes the distinction, but I'll understand if he does not... an admin has responsibilities !
Xanadu here also !

"A Farwell To Kings" was my very first Rush album...so "Xanadu" it is.

This site is fan driven. If a lot of us find enjoyment out of it, then what's the harm? If this was a silly poll, then I could see it as being a waste of time; however, this is a serious poll. I hope that it stays.
By the way, I voted for "The Camera Eye". Maybe not as classic as "Xanadu", but I loved that song from the very first listen.

Since listening to 2112 too much, Hemispheres and Xanadu, but my vote goes for Hemispheres just because I discovered it first =)

Well, one more poll about this amazing SUPER PROGROCK BAND
I voted for Xanadu, after 1000 turns still goose bumps, what a splendid shifting moods, excellent guitar work, outstanding, very dynamic rhythm section and I love those synthesizer drops and Moog Taurus bass pedals !

Am I the only one who absolutely loves 2112?
Edit: Well it has 5 votes (2nd place), so I guess not.

It IS an amazing track, as is The Necromancer.
Man, apart from I think I'm going Bald, Caress of Steel is one hell of an album. Criminally underrated. Who agrees ?

The poll stands. It is a useful point of reference.
Melomaniac is correct in his assumption that it is X v Y polls that are a waste of time.

2112, by far. But is Xanadu really an epic epic? I mean, half of it's instrumental, so the epic narrative is only like six minutes. Longer than most pop and even, I would venture, most prog, but not really "epic".... your call on that one, cause 2112 wins.

The Fountain of Lamneth appears to be beyond the comprehension of most. It really is that good.

Well, I havent heard Xanadu and Fountain...but as Natural Science is pretty much my favorite Rush song I must vote fro that one...
Also, why does 2112 get so much lovin´??? I emna, sure the overture and the preist section are pretty nice...but then it looses, with thouse guitar passages and Greedy singing "listen to my music..."...I dont see what the fuzz is all about.

You haven't heard Xanadu, El Bothy, shame on you .. , do something on it right now! And 2112 is a heavy progressive classic, don't nail it, otherwise I will never write anything positive about Latin-Prog !

Ok, I will stop my 2112 bashing...but only because of the positive latin prog thing...

Cygnus X-1 has always been my favorite work from Rush, the concept, music and general feel to it is amazing. The section starting from about the 14th minute is the best passage of Rush music I've ever heard.

I guess it has to be 2112, it's the one I know the best right now. Both Xanadu and Hemispheres are great songs, it's a very hard choice.
