I've seen on the Gongwebsite that there's a new gong release to come, it will be realeased at the end of April:
It seems fantastic, with Steve hillage, including pieces from YOU, shamal, and Fish Rising!!!!
Here's the Line up and pieces:

Live 'Shamal' Gong with Steve Hillage
Recorded at Nottingham University on November 25th 1975 for a long defunct radio station (we don't think it was ever broadcast) and quite a rarity, the Shamal era Gong band before Steve and Miquette's departure. In fact not counting the '77 reunion this was their penultimate Gong gig (the last was in London in December'75). This good quality recording is also notable for being one the late Jorge Pinchevsky's earliest gigs with Gong - it might even be his first, no-one can actually remember. Jorge was violinist in Clearlight, the support band on a 13 date UK tour and he occasionally sat in with Gong - he didn't officially join the band until the Shamal recording sessions.
The CD has been mastered, helped by Mike Howlett, and all the images and notes (by Mike and myself) are now with the designer. So if there are no problems the hoped for release date in late April should be realised. As GAS is intimately involved with this release we should be the first on the block to have copies of the CD - hopefully at a good price. I'll set up the usual pre-ordering facility on this page as soon as the release date is confirmed.
It's going to be a thunderously good CD of an interesting time in the band's history. The rhythm section is on top form, Steve great (the best 'Aftagid' I've heard), in fact the whole band is so tight you would hardly think they were still developing the Shamal material. An invigorating and vital 78.00 minutes of great Gong music to savour - you're going to love it.
Note: The cover image above is of a Shamal promo sticker of the time - not the final CD cover.

What a shame that this thread causes less concern than
the Dream Theatre one!
It shows the low musical level of that forum!

Rather true...
I hardly ever get enthusiastic about any record prior to its release.
So I'll just wait until this (and every other) new release has been
evaluated and reviewed by those I respect and only then will I consider
purchasing it/them.
This release does tickle the right nerves, though. But the thread was started on the 1st of April... Aargh...
I suppose this forum (or any other, for that matter) could not bear my
floodgate opening enthusiasm about anything, so I think I'm gonna stick
with my old code of behaviour when it comes to new releases...
Cheers

Don't be afraid!
Go to the Gong website and you'll see it's not a joke!
We just have to pray for the sound quality to be good enough not to ruin the Gong performance!
