Because your voice can be heard through out the internet proclaiming, "I VOTED FOR _______________  IN A POLL ON PROGARCHIVES, AND IT DIDN'T COST A PENNY!" That's why, or you could just, you know, not vote. However there are hundreds of newbies who would kill to be in your position.

That was good for a laugh anywayLOL,especially when i saw the interview where TOOL's lead singer when talking about King Crimson opening up for them on one of their tours said, and i paraphrase "Now our fans are going to know where we got our sound from". Hey i love both bands but i don't think King Crimson is into copying other bands.

This might be the worst prog poll I have ever seen here on PA. It is assumed that In the Court of the Crimson King and Red can never be the (3rd) favourite KC album, but one of these two is likely to be my third favourite.

Ah, now I understand the purpose of the poll. Maybe, in the beginning,  you should have pointed out more clearly, that you have left out two albums because you expected them, probably rightly, to get most votes. The "third" in the title has puzzled me.

So for the poll: for me it is a tough call between Lizard and LTIA. Lizard this time.

The point of the poll is not for people to choose their third favorite King Crimson album. The point of it is to see what the favorite King Crimson album is, despite the most(?) popular two being omitted.

My favourite is definitley In the Court. The next album with the most songs I like is Red, but I'm not sure if it would be my 2nd favouirte... there's something that I find not quiet so satisfying from that album. The other contenders for 2nd fav for me are Larks Toungues and Power to Believe. Of course, Larks Toungues is the most grounbreaking, and... well, I guess that gets my vote, Exiles, Talking Drum, and Larks Toungues 2 are really great and don't bore... Easy money is great too, but I like the live versions much better.

However, Red is my favorite followed very closely by : Lizard, LTIA, TPTB, SABB.
ITCOTCK is in the end of my list but still a very good album.

Yeah, because they sound sooooooooooooooo much alike.

I have to partly agree with Walter on this one (I still like Tool, tho). Alot of Tool songs sound like 80s Crimson, the most obvious being Indiscipline. Tool has even stated that KC is a major influence on them.

I might as well post the Youtube link here to indiscipline if anyone is interested.

Indiscipline:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D76x0Vtb_Zc" rel="nofollow - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D76x0Vtb_Zc
The Grudge:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiR1hmpk-x4" rel="nofollow - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiR1hmpk-x4

If you listen, you should be able to find similarities. Of course, Tool had blended in alot more influences, but you can clearly find the King Crimson stuff.
