Justin here, fan of Magma, Amon Duul II, Can, Rush, Yes and King
Crimson. also a fan of harsh noise/grind/power electronics music as well
as certain forms of black and death metal. I like a little RIO/Avant but haven't really explored it much.

RIO/Avant you say? I've noticed some of your posts around, welcome to the site! If you haven't checked out the "classic" RIO/Avant groups too thoroughly, I'd highly recommend Henry Cow and Samla Mammas Manna, and as far as modern groups go I'd suggest Yugen and miRthkon as starting points. From there...branch out in every direction you can think of, since the genre's so varied.
