Silversun Pickups are well know band from Los Angeles who were released two great Alt. Rock albums with some proggy  moments, but their 2011 Seasick EP is to push the band into Progressive Rock, IMO

Very pleasant listening, & pretty decent alternative rock, but 'proggy moments' at best - I'll be surprised if they get the nod to be passed on to the team, to be honest.

You like silversun check out sonic youth, who are much more deserving of being on the site (though they probably aren't progressive enough to make the cut)
