I'm pretty sure there was already a thread about this but I can't find it... I've been listening a lot to Dirty Loops lately, damn they can pull off some brilliant covers. Do you know any other band doing the same out there?

Besides some obvious examples (Yes doing Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel songs; Deep Purple covers in the '60s) I really liked Miles Davis' versions of Michael Jackson's "Human Nature" and Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time."

The first thing that came to mind was Crimson Jazz Trio.  Jazz can adapt to just about everything.

The Bieber thing was a bit of a letdown I didn't make it past the first few seconds.

It gets more interesting after the first chorus I think... but I kinda see your point, sounds a little mecanic and calculated
