Tangerine Dream for me. I think it's an underrated album that is just as good as Phaedra or Rubycon.

You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill;
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose Rush

I am, by no means, a Yes fan, but I have to give my vote to Relayer here. I've always found it hard to vote against the pure magnificence of Gates of Delirium.

I chose World record, which would be followed by Obscured by Clouds.

I used to love the Yes and Genesis album, but just haven't listened to them in quite a few years.  Been many years since I heard that Rush album.  I know I've heard Stratosfear, but I don't remember it now.  I haven't heard the Iron Maiden album (the one band in the list that I was never into).

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Leaving out Tangerine Dream and VDGG (neither of whom appeal to me much), the rest are all excellent albums (to this senile old coot).

I'm going for Obscured by Clouds, which I think is a superb album, but any of the other 4 could get a vote on anoither day.

Now I'll just wait for triceratopsoil to tell me what a tasteless old fool I am.

A very close call between Yes, Tangerine Dream, Rush and Genesis. I vote for TD today.

Rush then Yes. The other i'm not too fond of.

TotT and ObC aren't even that good imo.

Whoa, that's a great bunch of albums. With an exception or two, maybe.

But you've gotta vote for the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son in a poll about number seven.

Aw. No such luck I'm afraid. It seems Relayer has that seven magic.

Another vote to that as well. Probably my all time favourite album right there. I've always appreciated the structure and streamline of the album - no filler whatsoever. Love it. Thumbs Up

Relayer although Permanent Waves and Trick Of The Tail aren't far from that one.

Relayer by a wide, wide margin, although there are several others I like.

I know all but the VDGG and TD, and like the ones I know, but it has to be Relayer.  No contest, really.

I don't like Relayer too much even if I consider myself a YES fanboy. My vote goes to TD, a hard decision because Obscured by Clouds has a big place in my heart.

By the way, I was thinking to see "song of seven" in the list

I'll give it to Rush; Relayer was originally one of my favorite Yes albums, but it has since fallen out of favor with me, to be replaced with Fragile and The Yes Album.  Stratosfear's my least favorite TD album so far, though still good.

Out of sheer curiosity: even if Obscured by Clouds is one of my all-time favorites, what's it doing in the poll? Snowy, how did you come up with the picks for this list?

My vote: no vote. I've yet to give four albums on the list many proper listens.

Are we talking here about the seventh album of the above artists? I opened this this thread thinking it was about the Magenta album. Never mind. I voted for ATOTT, easily the best album from this list. Not a great fan of Relayer. Nor do I like Permanent Waves which I think is one of the weaker Rush albums. The TD isn't that bad but not in the same class as the Genesis album.

From this list, Relayer. Although it isn't just my favourite Yes album, the others seems to me as even worse.
