If you were fishing in a sea of prog-rock, you would surely have caught the first 6 of these bands and eaten them for dinner.

So Crimson is the lesser known one? Really like Gristle, Brainticket and Auto! Won't vote since I don't know what the question is.

I've only heard of King Crimson, Throbbing gristle, Brainticket, Camberwell Now and Lumerians. And I've only heard of Camberwell and Lumerians names, never heard anything by them....

Just thought I'd throw King Crimson in as the lesser known to give the others some spandex to stretch.

Hm. I've never thought of Throbbing Gristle as prog before but it makes sense now that I think about it. And they're even on the site, heh.

I know the name of some of these bands, but the only one I have ever heard (except KC of course) is Camberwell Now. Quitte good stuff as far as I can remember...

Auto! Automatic!! are actually a great bunch though. I'd highly recommend them to fans of Math Rock for sure, and the more experimental side of Indie Rock. Nice little band - should have more attention on this site, and in general.

I have heard of some of these, Lumerians and Throbbing Gristle, but have never actually heard their music. Therefore, by default, I must go with the majority and vote for that bit of obscurity commonly known as King Crimson. Oh, and Fox, those faceless people are really creepy. Keep it up.

No problem Progosopher! We'll do. Check out BOC though, if you're a fan of Ambient or Psychedelic music. It's all electronic though, so keep that in mind. It's a pretty iconic album cover, I'm surprised you hadn't seen it before.

You just made those names up didn't you? I mean really, who would name a band King Crimson?
