Hi,

I did not dislike the Brand X stuff, but I really thought that the Gong stuff in the Pierre Moerlin days, is actually much better than we give them credit for, but I think that too many of us got stuck on the dopey side of the Gong band, to actually appreciate the rest of it.

It's actually very similar, if you just take out Daevid and Gilly.

^ I'm with you on that.   Moroccan Roll is a close second to Shamal.  Actually a nice pairing.

I agree much with Moshkito - Shamal is as good as anything else by Gong, it just does not have the same level of craziness as with Daevid Allen. Not to say that it isn't crazy, because it is. Moroccan Roll is still an excellent album.

SHAMAL definitely. I love Brand X dearly, my fave would be out of Livestock or Masques, but More-Rock-'n'-Roll is still a bloody good album.
