Anyways:

Lee, Peart. Still today!

There's just sooooo many......
A remarkable duo that astounds me is the current Thieves' Kitchen pairing of Paul Mallyon and Brad Waissman - pure intelligence and intuition.
Others , Anglagard's Mattias Olsson and Johan Brand.
Transatlantic's Mike Portnoy and Pete Trewavas.
Felix Lehrmann and Jonas Reingold of Flower Kings.
and of course Alan White and Chris Squire of Yes.

Billy Greer and Phil Ehart need a shoutout.  Phil Ehart is phenomenal, taking songs have have been played thousands of times and making them sound fresh behind the kit.

I love the new stuff, I wouldn't call it selling out if it's less popular with the masses haha, same goes for Opeth.

I was joking, man. Horizons is not a fan of the new Mastodon so I brought it up just to tease him. You didn't see the tongue did you?

I forgot about Martin Axenrot and Martín Méndez from Opeth until just listening to Pale Communion (which led me to revisit Heritage). That is one heck of a rhythm section!

If you play and listen to his music then he's still alive (at least in memory).

I'd say his death certificate was pretty definitive on that point.
