I know there are plenty more but these are some of my favorites, accidentally pressed enter before I could add a few more but oh well we'll go with these who do you think is the most realized character? My vote goes to Cerpin Taxt.
Promise this is not an excuse to do another lame concept albums poll

The most realised character? Hmm. I'd have to go with Pink, in that his motives, background, reasons behind his personality, are all so fully explored.

I don't find any of these terribly attractive.
I can empathise far more with the unnamed central character in Subterranea.

I agree with Kazza3, I voted Pink from `The Wall' for the same reasons he mentioned. Pretty easy to get a grasp on the character right from the start, with further listens revealing other layers as you go on.
I kind of feel other characters like Rael are more surreal and vague, even slightly silly, so makes it harder to relate to them or want to think too hard about them?

Love Rael and The Lamb story - you feel much more empathy for him than any other concept album IMO. Pink is a bit lifeless really, no big passion in there for me. Ziltoid's pretty funny too

Harold the Barrel.
How can you not like him and his somewhat unusual choice of food for tea?

I've seen faces and traces of home--Back in NYC! My best friend is Puerto Rican, I go to Puerto Rico all the time and I live most of the time in NYC so for me --it was a no brainer.
In any case Lamb is one of my fav prog albums and love the characters and story too.

No vote here. I wouldn't vote for the character itself but for the music I like the most (Genesis from this poll). But such vote has nothing to do with favourite character (I wonder why Rael should be my favourite character...? Maybe strangest but not favourite). I suspect such kind of thinking will be usual here and so Rael (=Genesis) will be first and Pink (=Pink Floyd) second. Maybe Floydians could win over Genefans but thats all...

Plus, it doesn't hurt that Pink was the subject of a feature film, allowing us even greater access to his point of view.

First vote for William. While it is not my favorite album on the list, that would be The Lamb, nor my second, which is The Wall, I find him in the most intriguing situation. Rael comes next. Pink's story is fascinating as well, but he's kind of a jerk.

I think the Rake is a more interesting character than William in Hazards of love. I can't speak for Cerpin Taxt because while I love TMV I don't have a clue about what's going on in their albums. Ziltoid is basically a cartoon character but a pretty amusing one at that.
Well it comes down to Rael and Pink. Hm. Its difficult to separate favorite character from favorite album

Yeah, I'm a huge fan, Devin has been talking about a sequal for years, I'd say that 'I can't wait' though I've managed to wait so far so emperically I can wait.

I haven't heard that album yet, but I guess that an alien that visits Earth just to find the best cup of coffee must be a cool guy (as far as I once read the plot from the album was). From what I understand from the stories, I'm not particularly fond of the characters from The Wall, The Lamb, nor Tommy, I guess.

This. Rael was a personality. Pink was exposed to stuff and went through a bundle of attitudes, but no real personality ever came out.
