Roz Vitalis reviews

well I don’t know if this has been discussed before on the forum, but o think it deserves at least a small thread.

i believe most of us here have listened to (or at least heard of) compassionizer, roz vitalis, or some other project by ivan rozmainsky. in my opinion, it's pure and solid chamber prog, and really good — but that’s not the point.

in the releases by compassionizer and oz vitalis (especially the more recent ones), there’s been a proliferation of reviews written by rather questionable users, mostly from Russia, who make a habit of praising and giving five-star ratings to every single one of rozmainsky’s works. (In fact, one of the reviews for the latest roz vitalis album was definitely written with chatgpt)

this is where i ask: is this “legal,” so to speak? is there any kind of control over this?

This is not exactly new. Ever since I started visiting this site I can remember these returning waves of people joining up only to jack up X artist by way of 5 stars for all and every release by this artist…and then if they were really petty, they’d rank a bunch of rivalling albums from the same year with 1 star.
