Would you also take a look to the "Completing Discographies" thread where I've posted the question about it, for the united Team, please?

The two Pompeii are different... The DVD is the "Director's Cut", with lots of new stuff (especially in the film, but also in the extras). It needs to be marked sepparatelly somehow.

Well... I see your point... but the current policy is to display only one cover (though I'd prefer several, if possible), namely, the original one.

As for two Pompeii's... I'll put this issue for discussion with the Team.

Thanks, Pekka!

Should the original cover of Pink Floyd's video release of Pulse be replaced with this new dvd cover? I don't really see the original being sold today, but the dvd's for sale everywhere, so people would know better what to look for (on the other hand I'd like to save the original too, but then the only way to put this one on display would be to make separate entries for the video and the dvd, which wouldn't probably make much sense. but then again there are two Pompeii's...).

This was sent to our errors.report email account and looks like an album cover issue Wink

Dear Administrators, I was surprised to see the Real World album cover for Peter Gabriel's film score "Long Walk Home".  I checked PG's website - http://petergabriel.com/discography/ -
to see that it did indeed change....to what looks like a marketing move for promoting the film. Frankly, the copy I bought in 2002-2003 when it was released had the more artful and interesting Aboriginal design seen at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_Walk_Home:_Music_from_the_Rabbit-Proof_Fence .
Amazon shows both cover designs:
http://www.amazon.com/Long-Walk-Home-Music-Rabbit-Proof/dp/B0000647KC .

I would like to suggest replacing (or some such compromise) the old cover in the ProgArchives.....I think the new cover will put Prog listeners off 9 times out of 10...just because "...it's just a sound track to a movie..."  Of course, it's only my own opinion, but I think the old cover is a legitimate as the new....it was out there for some years.    There has been discussion at this site in the past that the cover of ...at least a Prog album... is important in presenting the overall product and bears some relation to how listeners respond to the music.  I hope you'll at least debate it among yourselves, before making a final decision.

It makes me wonder what's going on at Real World Records.
Jim

Any thoughts?

Thank you for the update.  Unfortunately, it looks like Volumes 2 and 3 were issued without covers.

Scott -- thank you very much!

The cover is updated, the year of release is updated as well (the site says it is 2005).

Also, there's a possibility to update other volumes (one and three, if I'm not mistaken).

EDIT: it's two and three, but there are no pictures... Unhappy

There should be. I would like to know it as well as you do.

Sorry.

Here is the PA page.  Also I think this was issued in 2005 rather than 2004.

^We misunderstood each other.

I meant the PA page to which we should add the picture...

I copied and pasted it from the Think Tank Media website.

Here is the link.  I hope that it works.

I think this could be added as the album cover for the Think Tank Media Volume 4 Sampler.
