For me it would be Brian Eno's Thursday Afternoon, and yeah it is an ambient album, but I like a LITTLE change in my ambient music, this is just 60 minutes of beyond minimal music. Now Discreet Music, that’s good ambient.

"Only Human" (deluxe edition) by Amon Duul 2. Some of the tracks had been speeded up or covered with stupid noises. Now this was never their finest work, but such charm as those tracks had was destroyed by the 'remix'. It came from ebay and it went back onto ebay a week later. If anybody knows if the original material made it onto CD, I'd be interested to know.

Yes Tormato and Open Your Eyes by Yes. I paid full price and they take up valuable space. I feel Yes robbed me - perhaps that's why they're wealthy.

Although not related to "Prog" that much, I remember that John Cale's "Music for a new Society" was album of the month in a music-mag I used to read in the 80s, so I Gave it a try and bought it. It was absolutely horrible... I thought "Well... MY society it AIN'T". Apart from this John Cale certainly did some great work either, but for a long time I refused to listen to any just because of that horrible record !

Fantomas' Suspened Animation, I really can't stand it.  The album never really develops, it sounds more like it goes from one intro to the next and never getting into a full groove or composition.  It's an ok effort, but the more I listen to it, the less I like it.

I bought NEVERMIND by Nirvana back a few years ago, just to try and be objective and see what all the fuss was about.  Turns out I wasn't wrong.  I LOATHED it.  Tuneless "singing", "guitar playing" that sounded like someone scraping a metal pipe, and over-loud drums, all topped off by a production that made ST. ANGER sound like Phil Spector. Sum: About as pleasant as chewing on tinfoil, or waking up with a boil on my ass.  And my friends ate it up!  WHY?

I gave away all my asia albums, Thrakk Live by King Crimson which was awful and some ep by Ayreon which included a rotten version of No quarter and Space Odditty. I was going to give away Deadwing but no one would take it. Since then i have found that it does not stink merely a little whiffy so there is hope.

Holding within all we hope to retain

Oh!  I found a worst album than Elements of Persuation :

Tim Donahue : Madmen and Sinners....

and I don't know why, but my worst purchases always imply Labrie voice
(but few of my favorite albums too : "Ayreon - The Human Equation" and "Dream Theater - SFAM")

Maybe not the worst album I ever bought but the most disapponting
is ELP's Love Beach. It makes Works Vol. 2 sound like a masterpiece.
They should have just taken a vacation on the beach and started a real prog
project when they got back home.
I still have the LP and revisit it now & then just to put what I consider celestial
musicians in an earthy perspective. Everyone Makes mistakes.

One of the worst things I ever heard was this German neo band called Baku...the CD was called Sequences Of My Bequest or something like that. Bad, bad, bad...

RING OF MYTH - UNBOUND

What a piece of crap!.....DON'T BUY IT, WORTHLESS, USELESS, WORST THAN BAD!

You are so correct.  And their latest release "Weeds" is MUCH worse! I wanted to like them, but they have no concept of how to make enjoyable music.   Same problems with sound and playing, but now they have left behind any shred of songwriting talent - avoid this also.  It's like they recorded the CD for a joke, and now are trying to sell it.  It's too bad Unicorn Records is selling this - they usually put out great French and Canadian releases like Nil and Meneige.

Nil are great, but what's so terribly wrong with Ring of Myth, if you don't mind me asking??? Also what is you definition of "enjoyable music" - what do you like apart from Nil and Maneige?
