Some of Eloy's stuff I'd say is more 'derivative of' than 'influenced by' Pink Floyd (Silent Cries and Mighty Echoes, I'm looking at you), but I love it all the same... hell, I think I listen to Eloy more than I do Pink Floyd. I think the Silent Cries/Colours/Planets-era Eloy in particular shows a heavy Pink Floyd influence, with some real strong guitar playing.

I honestly don't think that many bands sound that much like Floyd.....but I do think a lot of Eloy's material does at times....at least it does to me.
Oh...forgot to mention The Future Kings Of England especially the first 2 albums.

I found this new solo artist called Ben Howl. He's completely unknown tho.  Tbh he does more david gilmour sort of solos, but is quite like pink floyd. Lament of the string is the best example of this:

Well, I think about two bands, unless two albums

* All rights removed, from AIRBAG, specially the last epic Homesick in all his parts, absolutely floydian in the long guitar solo. Simply amazing.

* The sky moves sides way, froom PORCUPINE TREE, speciall the title track, first part.

Anyway. I think AIRBAG is very Floydian like, especially with the use of guitars. Very Gilmour esque.
They may fit the bill nicely here.
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

Unhappy can't you find a more appropriate thread to self-promote your band?
What?

Still, it's always nice to list random albums that we know regardless of any practical reason for doing it.

LOL
I didn't notice that. But anyway it is still a good chance to blab about our favorite albums.

There's also a band called Negative Zone who seem rather Floydish(early Floyd)but I don't know them too well. Anyway, if you like the mid period Floyd like WYWH or Animals then check out mid to late seventies Eloy in particular.

Negative Zone channels Dark Side of the Moon; I did an instrumental mix of some of the tracks from their album:

Definitely!
I forgot about Negative Zone, I don't know how many albums they have, I have only the debut and it is very Floydian.
Excellent stuff really.

I made an account simply because the Vancouver band Black Mountain has not been mentioned...easily the best floyd-esque band out there IMHO. In addition to Floyd/Hawkwind influences, some of the guitar work reminds me of early Led Zeppelin/Black Sabbath (nice combo btw). Here are a few tasty morsels:
