Coronavirus? wtf?!

if a band ever name themselves like that, that would be a very dumb band name.
I was just testing to see if anyone was still reading this thread, but obviously, I know you read all the new posts. Tongue

now can you edit and get rid of that awful joke, please?
Fixed it. Thumbs Up I still think Coronavirus would be a good name for a Death Metal band though. Smile

I'll include Autumn and Coronatus in the next Symphonic Metal poll, seeing as there are no objections, but I'm still unsure about including Kingfisher Sky, so any other suggestions are welcome. Smile

Okay, after trawling through my A-Z of Symphonic Metal list,  I've come up with three nominations for possible poll replacements for Evanescence, Lacuna Coil & Tacere:-

2002: Autumn - When Lust Evokes the Curse
                  2004: Autumn - Summer's End
2007: Autumn - My New Time
                  2009: Autumn - Altitude
                  2011: Autumn - Cold Comfort
                  2019: Autumn - Stacking Smoke

                  2007: Coronatus - Lux Noctis
                  2008: Coronatus - Porta Obscura
                  2009: Coronatus - Fabula Magna
                  2011: Coronatus - Terra Incognita
                  2013: Coronatus - Recreatio Carminis
                  2014: Coronatus - Cantus Lucidus
2015: Coronatus - Raben im Herz
2017: Coronatus - Secrets in Nature
2019: Coronatus - The Eminence of Nature
                  2021: Coronatus - Atmosphere

2007: Kingfisher Sky - Hallway of Dreams
2010: Kingfisher Sky - Skin of the Earth
2014: Kingfisher Sky - Arms of Morpheus
2018: Kingfisher Sky - Technicoloured Eyes

Gothic metal was an influence on symphonic metal, that's the only relation.

As for Ayreon, their presence in this poll is inaccurate. They stick out like a sore thumb.

Lacuna Coil started as gothic metal and then continued as alternative metal. Eh, I could forgive their presence here, but not Ayreon's. LOL

find replacements for Ayreon, Lacuna Coil  and Evanescence too because they're not symphonic metal. LOL

Yeah, Evanescence is a bit of a reach. If anything, they're like a gothed-up version of alternative metal

exactly, thank you! Thumbs Up

Take me down, to the underground
Won't you take me down, to the underground
Why oh why, there is no light
And if I can't sleep, can you hold my life

so two albums and an EP not good enough for you? Confused
Tacere are a good band, but they'll have run out of albums by the time we come to the third poll in the series, so I'm looking for a Symphonic Metal band with a more substantial discography. Smile

a lot of bands in this poll have 3-4 albums, you can't make polls with constantly having 25 albums, is that the plan?
No, a band with at least four studio albums in their discography would be perfectly fine. Smile

good luck then, I don't know 25 symphonic bands with at least 4 studio albums.
I'm only looking for one band to replace Tacere in the list. Big smile
