The Astros going to the AL West in 2013. Go figure. Why not the original Seattle Pilots ie: The BrewCrew?

I read the Colorado Rockies management have been meeting with agents for Milton Bradley. Why not? Every team should get their dance with the kookiest guy in ball these days.

Larusa has decided to retire. He will still come back to coach the occassional game against the Brewers, though, so that he can continue pitching at Ryan Braun's head. Not sure how he'll get his violent bloodlust out now that he's retired. Maybe he'll run Motte down with his car.

The city of St. Louis is pretty friggin excited. What a season end. This team wasn't the best of the Pujols era but wow what guts.
Lance Berkman really is the man who deserves alot of credit. Freese obviously but he's going to be a legend. But I'd put Berkman as one of the big reasons we made it this far.
And Carpenter...one of my favorite Cardinals ever.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Well we cannot please all...If MLB had a one and done WS game ala Super Bowl.....then way too many would complain, more than now.
As I said before, this is the post season, which is called the World Series. Regular season, Cards were not the best.
But in the season which they all play for they are the best.

Mega-duds don't win championships. Congrats to the Cards!! If you were referring to the game itself, that I can understand.

Congrats to the Cardinals. I found myself rooting for them last night after their epic win in game 6. Kind of an amazing story on never giving up no matter how far behind you fall. I think that they may need to consider sharing their WS winnings with the Atlanta Braves to thank them for their epic collapse which allowed the Cardinals to catch them to even make the playoffs.

nah old joke is old, and told better by Eddie Izzard. This WS was pretty exciting. It was also pretty terrible, but that's why it was so exciting! Like when 2 football teams with horrid defense have a back and forth shootout ending with like 80 points. The Rangers display was really pretty shameful. All congrats to the Cards, I like them and they certainly earned their way to the big show but sh*t...the Rangers couldn't have made it much easier. 40 walks? Hit batters, poor defense. The "genius" La Russa mismanaged two games and I don't buy that BS about the "phone not working" and "crowd noise" like there was no way to find some way to communicate? These teams had issues but hey, that's why we got playoffs. The best 2 teams got eliminated first round so what can ya do? Congrats to the 2011 Cardinals Now Yankees, just cut to the chase and send a freight tanker of money to Albert Pujols now ![]() |

Baseball is now meaningless. Last years winner was bad enough but two mega-duds in a row, awful.

Epic failure by Texas.....I am am so glad Cards won it all. Texas reverted to their old ways. Monster hitting does not make up for horrible pitching. Washington could not get is done.
Nice job St Louis!!!!! |

If the "World Series" didn't predate baseball existing in other countries I might be with you on this argument. When the World Series started the baseball world was the US.

This has been a great WS, awesome.
The talks of "ah Larussa was trying to throw the series" and now "OMG conspiracy they want the Cards to win so they delayed that game to give em an advantage if there's game 7!" How about just accepting Larussa likes to purposely make odd moves and the Rangers really could've put this away and not allow game 7? Go Cards! |

As I stated earlier......seems like the Rangers are falling back on old times......lets win with our gorilla swing! Playing OF deep assuming they will come back and score another 3-4 runs.
I agree, a lot of the blame lies on Ron's back last night, instead of playing the cheerleader in the dugout he should concentrate on what he will do in the next inning to hold the lead.
Texas can score a lot and should win this thing......they should have won it 4-1......its 3-3 now....gonna be good!
