It's a tough question, really. Red is kind of unique in KC catalogue because I could enjoy in most circumstances. I put it on many times while stuck in the traffic, waiting in the line, going for a walk or shopping groceries, and I DID enjoy it - at least Side A. Larks' Tongues in Aspic is the opposite: I'd like to have it on my headphones while completely alone, Saturday morning preferably, to hear all the nuances and idiosyncracies of the opening track and "The Talking Drum". While Larks' have jaw dropping potential, it's much easier to get into Red and enjoy it on a daily basis. For this reason I'm willing to vote Red, today.

A close call. I pick Red. Neither are my favourite KC albums, but both are better than Starless.

Larks, but narrowly prefer Starless to either.

In Larks KC creates a new sound: historically, Larks is more important than Red.
But If I consider the quality and the beauty of the music, Red is superior. Red is a real masterpiece, Larks is a great album but not a great masterpiece.

Today is Lark's, tomorrow might be Red, and so forth. Both great albums, with great music I enjoy very much.

Could go with either. LTIA by a smidge...
