They're both good but I voted for LTE,just because I was so blown away when I first heard it.

I think they're both fantastic 5/5 albums, but in general I tend to listen to LTE2 more.

The first LTE is more melodic than the second one and for me, that bit of melody edges out LTE 2.

I don't understand the big hype surrounding the 3 minute warning impro tracks ... and on LTE 2, I don't listen to the impro tracks not often either. Comparing the other tracks, my vote goes to LTE 2, because I prefer Acid Rain over Paradigm Shift, and my favorite LTE songs are Biaxident ,Another Dimension and When the Water Breaks.

They are both excellent albums, but if i had to choose one, I'd choose LTE simply because Osmosis, 3 minute warning and freedom of speech blow me away

Both brilliant pieces of music but Three Minute Warning nudges LT1
ahead. Love Chewbacca from LTE2 though.
The guys should get together and do LTE3. WOuld have loved to see this
live as well.

I really don't like the improv tracks, so when I think of LTE, I generally pretend Three Minute Warning doesn't exist.

That said, songs I really like from LTE: Paradigm Shift, Kindred Spirits, Freedom of Speech, State of Grace, Universal Mind.

And the songs I really like from LTE2: Biaxident, When the Water Breaks, Hourglass.
I like Acid Rain and Another Dimension, too, but not as much as these others.

So, based on that, I prefer the first album, if only for the presence of the slower, more melodic songs, and for Universal Mind, which is just absolutely fantastic and one of my all-time favourite songs.

LTE 2 is better. 1 is also awsome but i can`t stand "Three Minute Warning" God it`s sooooooo dull.
