Hi there, there's a website about Metal Rock at http://www.metal-archives.com
I think this is a good website because it suggests many bands in various type of metal rock. May I suggest two questions here ? ![]() -Could you recommend me some Atmospheric Metal albums from these archives ? -What are the differents between Orchestral and Symphonic Metal ? Thanks. Thanks, but according to searching results at http://rateyourmusic.com , Isis and Red Sparowes are post-rock bands. How do you think? |

I agree that Red Sparowes are more post-rock than metal, but they are still heavy. However, Isis is undeniably metal. They have post-rock elements to their composition, but they are clearly a metal band. Give it a listen. |

Atmospheric Metal : the Gathering, Opeth, Theatre of Tragedy (not here I think), Amorphis (some of their records) Note: all these bands can be described differently, but Atm. metal is one of their elements I don't really know the difference between orchestral and symphonic metal, sounds the same to me |

How about Gothic Atmospheric Metal ? Theatre of Tragedy seems to be one. I also heard about Tristania, most recently of Gothic Atm. It it said that in Gothic Atm, the voices are almost always based on the opposition
between a Death voice (or Black) and a clear female voice. Does it always true ?
I has listened Beto Vazquez Infinity and I like female voices in this album which includes Candice Night. Do you know some similar Atm. metal bands which based on female voices ? |
