Topic: The Official I HATE BAD MUSIC thread Posted: September 07 2007 at 20:36 |
Being in love with a music minority, I believe that at some point, all of us here need to let out the anger that's built up from the music that your forced to hear all the time on the Radio, or leaking out of the neighborhood punks headphones, at work, etc. So take a moment and alleviate yourself from all that pent up stress. Think about how much you want to get a hold of whoever's musical contract and in a swift heavenly flick of the wrist, tear it. Imagine how ever so quickly you would grab each and every one of those "musicians" by either earlobe and propel them accordingly into the dense knee of which you posses. And then, allow yourself to relax.
I for one would like too simply say:
I HATE PARAMORE AND ALL FRICKIN EMO PUNK SCENE WHATEVER MUSIC IN GENERAL!!!!!!! GAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Now there, life feels so much better. Pardon me as I wonder off into the distance singing "The Carpet Crawlers." But please, feel free to let go of some of those built up aggressions!

Unfortunately, everything that hits the radio nowadays is derivative crap.

I happen to like some bad music.... ... but just SOME... (I mean, music which I think is not so good)...
But in general, there are a few genres which I think are just plain bad... Reggaeton the king of them all... followed closely behind by Hip-Hop....and all the Rianna and Beyonce and Yung-Joc crap....
But EMO, well, that's even worse I think....

I pretty much hate anything where music is sacrificed to get mainstream attention I.E. Punk, anything on pop radio, led zeppelin, Emoness, Grindcore (different circumstances, but nasty!)

I'll not knock Soul, R&B, Rap and Hip Hop Skip and Jump because they do not figure on my musical radar and never have - I cannot hate something I've never bothered to properly listened too, though Jean Wycliff and the The Scissor S ters have entered the cross-hairs of my high-power prog sniper rifle for their abominations of PF songs.
I like some Emo, however, like all "underground" genres it's all gone a bit flat now it's gone mainstream, but there are one or two good emu tunes and I can happily ignore the rest. Generally, since I am a weekend Goth, if a band rocks then I'm not going to hate them because of how they dress . But if they become repetitive, dull, repetitive, boring and repetitive then they've committed the most heinous crime in music, so yeah: Coldplay, The Killers, Mew, The Lost Prophets, The Magic Numbers, Razorlight, The Strokes and Franz F king Ferdinand .

I like a couple of The Lost Prophets songs... Oh and My Chemical Romance... they were already very annoying with that "I'm OK" song, but that new one? That's even worse! I didn't think it was possible, but they've done it! And Gerard Way's hair is laughable. Infact, I'm embarrassed to even know his name.

I listen quite a bit of good hip hop, so I can't say it. I'd rather keep myself at a good distance from nu-metal, most metalcore and modern radio crap.

My location could be the reason, but I have no idea what sonicscapes reggaeton represents. Fortunately, I guess.

I HATE all the derivative indie music you get at all the festivals like Reading etc. And worse than that I hate those indie kids who all seem to think they are musical geniuses and are snobbish about any other music which does not reach the lofty standards of that indie sh*t.
