Yes. What are you looking for, though? Novel? Sci-fi? Satire? Thriller?

Kafka and Poe are definitely cool. But preferably something I don't already know?

I read a really interesting sci-fi/satire novel called Feed a while ago. It's a story of a dystopian future where kids are all implanted with "Feeds" upon birth; basically a microcomputer in their brains that gives them total, unrestricted access to pretty much everything in an interconnected world. Imagine the internet times 500. The actual writing is a little tough to get through since the narrator uses a lot of futuristic slang. It's tough to follow at times but really enhances the story. It's an excellent commentary on today's technologically addicted society too.

Don't blame you. That is one heck of a mess to clean up. (You still haven't gotten the joke yet. )

I read that in middle school. Good book, IIRC.
