I've just got the Goude album `Drones' so far.
Looking into the album, I pretty much took notice of the words `zeuhl', `Weidorje',`instrumental', etc, and decided to take a chance on the album based on that! ![]() So far, so good! |

Drones is a great album, and I am surprised that it hasn't made into PA Also like Bebe Godzilla muchly.
Do you know Goude and Cole's Jeunes Annes? Great album:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKPaQaoU8e8 Edited by Logan - April 16 2012 at 20:29 |

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Have you bought Drônes or Bandhada (the other group I have mentioned earlyer ?)
I really like the Zeuhl tracks... To be fair I have only bought Drones 5 Zeuhl tracks and I have done a 60min cd with the 35min of Patrick Gauthier - Bébé Godzilla (I own the japanese mini lp). I buy most of my cds from Greg too.

Hey Olivier!
Wow!! I just bought this from Greg Walker's `Synphonic Records' the other day! Haven't properly listened to it yet, but first impressions showed immense potential! ![]() |

Jean-Philippe Goude - Drônes isn't classified in PA
half of the album is Zeuhl tracks post-Weidorje (supposed to be written for Weidorje 2, like Gauthier and Paga have released) and the other half is experimental/electronic stuff... |

I'm glad I'm not the only one who knows about this band. They truly need all the advertising they can get. That sole album of theirs is a real gem

In following with Sagichim's post, which I think is a pretty good idea, I give you RAM. US proggers who are obscure, even though they play a kind of music that should resonate with a good heap of folks around here:

Just posted a review about them, so i guess this is the place to post a video to let you hear what it's all about.
The band is called Ocean, and if you like that 70's hard rock progressive style, with some angry guitars, check this out. The songs on the album flows from one to the next, but Youtube offers 2 songs together that are not in the right chronological order of the album. But this is still great. |

From Chili, "Bandhada" have done two albums that aren't classified in PA Bandhada - same (1984)Bandhada - Open Cage (2009) They are doing a nice blend between fusion and symphonic prog. They sound pretty similar to Kenso, so really canterbury-ish music. A tad easy listening but I really like both albums... a nice discovery for me. |

The Dismemberment Plan is quite known, but their first album's underratedness is criminal

Not very bad. The drummer is certainly doing justice. This is like jazz-rock drums with proggy New Wave guitars in an alt-rock environment lacking reverb.

Ok guys here is another one.
Pan.Thy.Monium is the most obscure project of Dan Swano, which i'm sure a lot of you already know. The band was active in the 90's and released 3 albums before breaking up. If there was ever a band representative of experimental extreme metal they are it, those of you who don't like this kind of style, don't bother with this. The band does not incorporate chaos like other bands do, but holds more structured songs, always progressive and interesting, fusing saxophone, clarinet and more. just check this out, one of the most groovy experimental metal riffs you can find. And if you like this here is some more. |

You may have beaten me to it, but (since everyone seems to be posting videos here anyway...) I'm beating you to the posting of videos. (note to everyone else - please excuse our douchebaggery, Smurph started it) my band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UEU9qsmh7c http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2lEJEMtr_c&feature=relmfu and although the film is shoddy here, the music is from our first LP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnTuo7LNhig&context=C489c584ADvjVQa1PpcFOBTW7iHkzFeb7BijPB-dK38OwjJONnfrY= |
