Okay these are pretty obscure i must admit. Still some nice picks here i just don't see this getting a lot of votes. Vote even if you know just one as long as you recommend it of course. Thanks !
The clear choice for me is Out Of Focus' debut from 1970.

I know about half of these, favorite from those is Popol Vuh.  I can't remember if I've voted for a single RIO/Avant group in the O-Z groups yet. LOL

That is hard to believe knowing you.LOL Popol Vuh is my runner-up. And this is perhaps the one most fans pick as their fav. Conny Veit from GILA adds a lot to this. Great record.

Mine was a toss up between Electronic Meditation and Tone Float. I picked the Tangerine Dream. Though not indicative of what would become their recognisable sound, and rarely a fan favorite, i love the album, and it is my favorite of theirs. I never tire listening to it.

Nice pick Doug !
Recorded in 1969 this was such an influencial album. Jimmy Jackson helps out on organ. He would later play with Embryo and Amon Duul II. Also Edgar Froese offers up some killer guitar while Klaus Schulze is on the drums. He would leave even before they released this album to join Ash Ra Tempel before going solo. A must for Krautrock fans. Dark, spacey and experimental is the order of the day here.

Thanks, John. Jimmy Jackson is also on the Passport debut album Doldinger. I did not know he was on EM. I also love Klaus Schulze's debut solo album.

Yeah they don't mention that on the site here so maybe i should change that. It's in the liner notes of the cd though. It lists the three band members then says "With Jimmy Jackson-Organ". In the liner notes it does mention that on the original album that Jimmy Jackson was mysteriously left out of the credits.

A  top three here for me. A Francois Thollott project. I love his "Contact" record under his own name with Bussonnet and Jeand'heur helping out. I haven't heard "02" yet but i do own it.

Pachakaite Malko over T Dream. Both great, underrated/underappreciated records.

Froese and Schultze together in the most Krautrock album of the TD discography.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

That's an easy one for me, Bernard Paganotti's Paga!! Released pretty late , in 1985, this one contains as far as I know three songs originally written by Weidorje which I happen to have on a bootleg CD in sh*ty quality. This would be a good starting point for anyone interested in Zehul since it is light, jazzy and quite accessible, very close to 5 stars by my book. Paganotti is one hell of bass player, he has that rocking monotonous side but also has a jazzy virtuoso side.

I don't see how any Zehul fan won't like this one, definitely not to be missed, I'm sure John would back me up on this one. LOL

Check out the first track from the album and you'll see what I mean, also the bass solo starting at 3:38. Ok I'll stop rambling now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7bPwGucvWk

I agree.  Especially that Tangerine Dream record but then it is very different from what they are known for.

You have every right to rave about this one Sagi. It's basically the same lineup as what is on the Weidorje album. Laurent Thibault who produced Magma helped produce it(he even has an excellent album out himself) and it really is a must-have for every Zeuhl fan out there.

Ever since I bought Tone Float on vinyl, I've constantly been amazed of just how good of an album it is. I had heard it before(although using YouTube), but it has completely changed itself with every spin, and I feel it is one of the most important albums in the infancy of Krautrock - maybe alongside Xhol Caravan's Electrip and Floyd's Ummagumma.
I voted for it of course.

I have no strong opinions here, but Electronic Meditation is one of the 8 or so TD albums I have, and one of my favorites.  I have Tone Float too, but can't remember much how it goes (hey David, whistle me a few bars, willya?).
