^ That's exactly what I've done with my new lists which have all been extended to a Top 7.
 1. Supper's Ready (86 points) 2. Firth of Fifth (77 points) 3. The Musical Box (58 points) 4. The Cinema Show (39 points) 5. Watcher of the Skies (26 points) Dancing with the Moonlit Knight is currently on 19 points. |

I wouldn't be able to participate in my own poll. I'd struggle to come up with a post-Gabriel list of seven Genesis songs I actually like.  1. Ripples (12 points) 2. Follow You, Follow Me (8 points) That's about it.

Seriously, how did I miss this?
1. Supper's Ready 2. The Musical Box 3. Mama 4. Home by the Sea (first and second) 5. Firth of Fifth I've come to the conclusion songs on Duke work better on an album rather than individually, but I'm still going to try and get a few Duke songs in thief's top 20 Genesis songs.

Good idea, that. A lot of people can't stand Genesis without Gabriel, but they have done some very good stuff. I still hold Genesis never did a bad album. Their last fully prog album was probably Duke, but that doesn't mean the stuff that came after was bad (certainly, you're off your rocker if you think We Can't Dance is 100% prog*, but that doesn't mean it's a rubbish album). Even CAS wasn't a terrible album IMO - it does not sound remotely like the 70s Genesis we know and love, but it isn't awful. *25%, I'd say. Dreaming While You Sleep, Fading Lights and Driving the Last Spike - 3/12 tracks, 25%.

Looking back on this I'm not sure why I voted for Firth of Fifth above Supper's Ready. How can anything be better than Supper's Ready? Lol. I'm not sure why I have Unquiet Slumbers for the Sleepers in a top five also. It's great but not quite top five imo. If I did this now I might swap it out for Dance on a Volcano. Oh well.
