I better correct this to that they're approved to be on Wikipedia's Timeline, as they not necessarily are considered to be Prog in Wikipedia's articles about the artists - whatever the reasons are for all this, as it's rather strange and not good for Wikipedia's reputation.

No, me neither. I certainly wouldn't classify ELO, Peter Gabriel or Talk Talk as Progressive Rock, but I have no objection to them being listed in ProgArchives under Crossover Prog. Smile

Oof! ELO, GTR and PG didn't make prog albums that year. GTR's is pure sappy AOR, even with Hackett and Howe onboard.

Schulze's Dreams really isn't that memorable. 2.5 stars at best. Not a good period for him.

Pageant's debut La Mosaique de la Reverie is easily a 5-star recording and a contender for best album of '86!

I don't like either of those albums. The Three album is especially depressingly bad given the talent involved.

Emeson,Lake and Powell was a better try although the line up never gelled for me and I would have much preferred Simon Phillips on the drum stool in the absence of Palmer. Not to say that Cozy wasn't a great drummer but he was more in the hard rock school of drumming. Stargazer is amazing! Phillips would have brought more to the table imo.

I like what Cozy brought since Simon would've aped Carl's style a little too closely. Too bad they didn't do a second album together.

I like 2/3 of ABWH. "Themes," "Fist of Fire," "Brother of Mine," "Birthright" and "Let's Pretend" are great.

As for 3 (or Three), it's unforgivably subpar. If legacy prog stalwarts weren't involved, nobody would care about that album. It would get zero mentions!
