^ sometimes cover art is totally lame in relation to the music. That’s more suitable for an alternative rock cover but I find it ugly as an artistic statement not judging the guy

I don’t see how the two Transatlantic album covers above are ugly? And the guy on When Dream And Day Unite is very good-looking (in my honest heterosexual opinion)🤣

Five Genesis albums: And then there were three, Duke, Abacab, Shapes and Invisible Touch. I'm sure everyone knows them so need for me to post covers. Also, two Yes albums: 90125 and Big Generator. I guess this one is worth mentioning too:

Cover art for Tormato by Yes

I'm sort of on the fence with GFTO though. Take out the naked dude and it would be pretty good imo but even as is it's not awful. Tormato is just pointless and the tomatoes don't help.

People will disagree on a lot of these covers posted here. In some cases they will agree.
It is still all subjective.

The idea per se could perhaps pass as humorous if an amateur-level illustrator knew how to paint—for example, if he knew how to paint waves.

is it ugly though?!
The dragon looks cool. LOL

I would not call this 'ugly' personally.  Cheesy grins all round. Lee Jackson (on the left) does have the look that apparently made him a firm favourite with the ladies and a reminder that straight heterosexual men could still pull off a tash back in 1973.Smile

Are you out of your mind? This cover is far from ugly.

It's actually a gatefold cover so you don't get the whole picture until you open it up:

Quote I have to admit that i avoid albums that have hideous cover art [...] the ridiculous album cover [...]lame album cover [...] i avoided this for so long due to the cover art [...] ridiculous cover art
We get it. You don't like this cover art. I mean, nowadays it's trendy for people to claim to be asexual or some shіt like that but come on. Be more open minded.

^ Yes and I don't think that applies to a white glove otherwise Michael Jackson would be accused of being ugly (well, he kind of was anyway but not because of his glove. Lol.). Anyway, like you say it's subjective.
