   An instrumental heavy psych/space project, Traum are the Italian quartet of guitarist Lorenzo Stecconi (of Lento), guitarist/bassist Luca Ciffo (of Fuzz Orchestra and II Lungo Addio), synthesist/saxophonist Luca T. Mai (of Zu) and drummer Paolo Mongardi (also of Fuzz Orchestra and Zeus!). German for "Dream," Traum appeared on the scene in mid-2023, playing live around Italy before signing to Subsound Records later in the year. The band's eponymous debut album, mixed and mastered by Stecconi, was released by Subsound in early 2024.

Nodding to Hawkwind, Amon Düül II, Ozric Tentacles and even Brian Eno and Steve Hillage, Traum's brand of space rock weaves together krautrock, stoner rock, ambient, dub and a little jazz, with hints of the quartet's heavier primary bands occasionally seeping through.
