Topic: The Best from ELOY Posted: July 10 2015 at 18:47 |
Another Best From poll coming at you!
Eloy's one of the more lesser-known space rock bands and I'll admit I hadn't heard them until a little while ago. They are still rather enjoyable and definitely more known in the prog community. What's your favorite from their discography?

Planets & Silent Cries... are the two tops for me.
I'll go the former this time.

Planets, then maybe Dawn or Time to Turn. Ocean 2 is good too.

My faves are from Power to Ocean, with a preference for the last.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Time to Turn is the one I find myself listening to most, with Planets coming in second, then Ocean at third.

Floating, followed by Silent Cries. The problem I have with Eloy is that although they're good musicians, the lyrics verge to utter stupidity at times. ;-)

Iwas curious to see how many votes the first albums would receive, because I always like the heavy stuff more than the "Ocean" and others...
Still curious to see how the thing will be with more votes...

it's a close one, which is a sign of a good group. Almost every album up until 1982 has people who claim it as their favorite

Crap, I put the debut album in the poll question and not a choice. If anyone thinks that then pick it if you want.

some people might like the debut album the most, but some of those people don't much like Eloy in general. The first album is not typical at all.

Ocean is the best studio album. However I prefer Eloy Live - virtually all of Ocean is on there and they are all better than the studio versions, imho.
