I've been picking up a lot of Iona's stuff lately it seems. I really love the Celtic influences marrying with folk and prog. Just top notch musicianship.
If there are any Iona fans here, love to get your input on a favorite disc.

I only have Journey into the Mourn and Heaven's Bright Sun, so I don't think I am qualified to vote as I have heard that the Book of Kells is very good. Once I get my hands on that disc, I might have a stronger opinion.

I have Journey Into The Morn ... very good CD & Open Sky .. again very good , I haven't had the luxury of hearing all their stuff though , this is a band that can evoke something beautiful within me .. hard to explain .. its spiritual I think , I really love this band when they get things perfect ..

I have them all but the debut, Book Of Kells, and the new one. I've just ordered Woven Cord off SwapaCD.
They're quite unassuming really. You look at them and think they're probably good musicians who crank out good music; but, there's an underlying power with these guys, and the music is quite beautiful at the same time. Probably why I like Hogarth era Marillion so much.

The Book Of Kells is their masterpiece, IMHO. One of the best symphonic / Celtic folk - prog things I ever heard. And I see it as their most progressive album.

I know The Book of Kells and Open Sky, and I love them both. Great, confident playing, rich textures, meaningful lyrics, mesmerising moods. Thanks for reminding me of them; Easter must be a perfect time to listen to Iona.

Open Sky just smacked me right in the mouth today. Probably my favorite so far.

I went with the Circling Hour. I also know "the Book of Kells", but like their new album at least just as much.

I have their 4 disc set, The River Flows, which has their first 3 albums and a bonus album. I voted for Beyond These Shores.
Have you heard Dave Bainbridge's solo album, "Veil of Gossamer", yet E-Dub. It's even better than the Iona albums I've heard. The guy is an amazing guitarist.

I haven't heard it, but read somewhere else that it's an amazing disc. I'll look into it right now.
How does it compare to Iona? If it's better, then I can't wait to hear it.
Oh, and I've ordered The Circling Hour and Book Of Kells. I wished I had known about that box set, though. I may still go after it eventually.
Thanks for the tips, FS.

MY GOODNESS, I MAY HAVE TO VOTE FOR THE WOVEN CORD!!! I just got it, but man alive this is absolute magic!!
The newest Circling Hour is really good, too. The Book Of Kells is on it's way; but, it's going to be hard to beat Woven Cord. Absolutely beautiful!
