There are a several Prog vocalists which seem to be quite polarizing, as for their voices. Pick your "favourite".Wink

I can only listen to Fish for so long, but generally I don't have much of a probelm with any prog vocalist.

Does Adrian Belew 'polarise' opinion? There's not much wrong with that guys voice. Whatever one thinks of his musical adventures, he can actually sing 'properly' I.E, without shredding his vocal chords at the top of his range like Collins, Gabriel and Fish.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Derek Shulman is one of the best and most charecteristic voices in prog and rock, no one beats his visceral and boisterous stage pressance Derek Shulman RUUUUUUUUUUUUUULES so my vote is not for him  ApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveWinkApproveClapApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveApproveClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClap

Geddy Lee. I’m sure many people miss Peter Hammill here (he’s my favourite singer, so I would never have voted for him).

There may be one or two vocalists that might be below my toleration but that's when they aren't actually singing. I'm actually tolerable to any singer, though I would complain about the overblown fashion of soprano vocalists.

Geddy Lee, sole reason why I don't listen to Rush.

David Surkamp! One of the few vocalists that I don't like but I can stand him.

First vote for Waters. He hasn't a nice voice but it's so particular that I can't imagine his songs sung by anybody else.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Would have voted for Jimmy the Cheese but as much as I loathe his voice, I loathe DT en masse even more.
Has to be Geddy (although I like some of Rush's music) - what did he sound like before his balls dropped?

Jon Anderson's voice is too shrill for my liking. He's not always singing in tune either. Roger Waters and Geddy Lee are close seconds.

Despite general adoration, I feel like Gabriel's voice is VERY annoying. Seriously, he manages to be worse than LaBrie.

No vote. One person's annoying is another's beautiful sound. Totally subjective and utterly pointless.

LOL

Somewhere I heard that Eddie Offord used to hate Howe's singing voice, and would always mix him down.

Fish is only badly emulating Peter gabriel's marvelous voice so I can't stand it. If it was a good imitation it would be fine but it's not.
