For me, Italian and Spanish are much easier to understand than Romanian, so I'm assuming it the same the other way around?

I speak Portuguese and French is crazy hard IMO. Harder than English or German. Italian and Spanish I find quite simple, but they are very similar to PT.

I may end up disappointing you Rob; I can't think of any free JapaZeuhl, you may want to extend the challenge to all of the Shred members.

I was actually just thinking of asking you if you'd tried out Art Zoyd though, since you like Univers Zero.  Their albums are anything but free though (on the contrary, they're expensive Japanese imports). Dead

Wait!  Grooveshark is legal, and there are (if nothing else), several Ruins albums there.  Knowing how much you liked Koenji's vocals though, I'm a bit hesitant suggesting Ruins to you - there are only male vocals, but they're a bit more insane.

We shall see.  Gotta wait till the baby wakes up though.  Or I could...Evil Smile

Nope, no Art Zoyd for me yet.

Well if you'd like, I could drop a link for a Ruins album here, and an Art Zoyd if you're interested - Grooveshark has them as well.  Just say the word!  (I haven't heard the Ruins album in question, but I've heard some tracks from it, at least part of the album is instrumental)

Linkage plz

I have never even heard of Latin being offered around here. I took and failed a Spanish class (that I didn't sign up for and had no intention of taking in the first place) though.

Aginor's right; I understand a lot of French without any effort. In Romanian, what's not Latin from the very beginning, was borrowed from French during the modernization in the 19th century. Local influences are only in the third place (Slavonic, Turkish, Hungarian). That's obvious when you read, but when hearing it it does sound more like Portuguese and Catalan.

Yeah, Romanian sounds like Italian + generic slavic sounds IMO. But I did not knew it had so much influence from French.
