Awesome! Big smileI still need to order my copy though.

Looks like someone misses out on the shirt
I know. I didn't act fast enough. EmbarrassedOh well. I can always get another PtH shirt instead. And right now, Devin Townsend and SYL gear takes priority. Approve

PtH are pretty much the only prog metal band I reaaally enjoy other than Opeth.

I got Terria by Devin Townsend, although I couldn't really get into it
What didn't you like about it? For some people, it can be easy to pick the wrong DT album to start with.I also like how DT in this case does not apply to Dream Theater. LOL

I was gonna say DT, but I thought it'd sound like Dream Theater

I just didn't find anything overall addictive or really appealing about it... It was interesting and creative, but not something I'd pick up over and over.

Oh wait, I meant Synchestra.

You're right, I've not heard Terria yet.

I'm annoyed 'cause Vampira keeps getting stuck in my brain and I hate that song.

Hmmmmmm...

Ocean Machine or Synchestra might be better choices for you then. Ocean Machine is more atmospheric metal with 2 good (not great though IMO) epics whereas Synchestra is pretty light-hearted, not quite as heavy, and a mish-mash of everything he did up to the point. Has a bit of a tribal feel too from time to time.

My Devy list goes something like...

1. Ziltoid the Omniscient
2. Terria
2. Ki
4. Ocean Machine: Biomech
5. Synchestra
6. Accelerated Evolution
7. Infinity
8. Physicist
9. Devlab (not really bad or good, since it's ambience/noise and kind of "out there")

Physicist and Devlab are the only two I would give anything less than 3 stars to. And the top 3 are all god tier for me. Terria probably took the longest to grow for me out of those 3 though.

The music video for that is weeeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiird, but yeah, it's pretty much just a straightforward metal/hard rock/poppish song. Nothing too fantastic.

The weird thing is, the track I enjoyed the most on The Human Equation was the Devin Townsend one.  Weird.

I think he was totally underused on THE. Of all the vocalists on it I've heard so far, he's easily the best and most versatile.

It is.

'cause when I heard it again for the second time only (about 3 years after I'd heard the first time).  I remembered it.

Not good.

I hate remembering tunes so quickly!

Also noticed yesterday that Led Bib was added to PA.

I should probably head off to bed soon too. This Econ I'm studying for the test on Friday isn't being absorbed at all anymore.

Good night, James! Smile

Indeed, especially given that all I have is Living with a Tiger, which is becoming one of my favorite albums of 2009.

Where should I go next with AL and where should I start with LB?

You really can go wrong with any one of AL's albums. I'd probably go with Last Chance Disco...Skinny Grin  is a good choice too though. Their first album isn't quite the same as their other stuff in that it's all acoustic, but it's still very good in its own right.

As for Led Bib I'd start with their most recent album and work my way backward. It's the better of the 2 albums  I've heard so far.

A Love Supreme is the most essential Trane.
I know, I've listened to it once from Spotify, but haven't found it yet from my store. They'll get it some day, and I'll buy it then Smile
