I guess most of the ones I can think of have already been mentioned, but in case you haven't heard them, Renaissance is the top of the iceberg in prog world. And another favourite around here, though I barely know her, is Kate Bush. A current one that I have been liking is Iamthemorning. And of course, there's a whole lot of bands from the female fronted metal bands, mostly symphonic, or folk metal, or gothic, etc. The ones I know most are Nightwish, Epica, After Forever, Within Temptation and Tristania... and though I don't know them so well, The Gathering are among the favourite ones among the fans of such music (of course, some of those bands share vocal duties with growling).

Lots of great stuff mentioned here. Another is Steve Rothery's The Wishing Tree.

Sarah Pillow is one of my favorites!  I saw her perform in Chicago with her husband/vibist Marc Wagnon, guitarist John Goodsall, and bassist Percy Jones!  (I don't remember who the drummer was, but he was good!)

Not really fronting the band, but Aleena Gibson does great vocals on KAIPA, sometimes taking the lead.

And then there's Babe Ruth (also from the UK). Jenny Haan gets shortchanged compared to those two.

No mentioning of Amon Düül 2 so far? Renate Knaup does of course share vocal duties with other band members, but in those songs where she has the lead vocals she really shines.

Moana Mayatrix (Moana Lutton) of MOANA from Western Australia. Latest single "Dracula", ahead of their first full-length album...

"Without prog, life would be a mistake."
