Although, after several views of his cover arts i must to admit I don't like them at all; they're as cheesy as whole Marillion's music. I'm sorry.

Voted Rodger dean, because very few of the others really blow me away.

But Dean stole from Avatar. Hipgnosis for me even thought the example of Ummagumma could be replaced with a waaayy better one. In fact, practically any other one.

What about "The Cow"? Or "Two Flaming Yuppies"? I think well done is "The Power Station", right?

Hate not to vote for HR Giger, but Roger Dean it is.

Dean seems to be very monotonous sometimes , but I understand the general affection of PA members to him; his paintings actually reflects all things which we really imagine under the term "Prog". But I rather like, let's say, Hipgnosis.

I like Roger Dean most, but voted PJ Crook, who I also like a lot. After these two it's Hipgnosis and Giger.

Hipgnosis for me, I liked the more graphic art style. Roger Dean is great but I find alot of his albums seemed to repeat motifs after the first classic Yes albums. Hipgnosis did one of my favourite modern album covers; The Pineapple Thief's "Someone Here Is Missing". If Geiger had done more it would've been him. Brain Salad Surgery is one of my all time favourites.

Dean didn't steal from Avatar........ it was the other way round, quite obviously.
Anyway, Giger gets my vote for being eccentric and ahead of his time.

Giger, Whitehead and Thorgerson(Hipgnosis) are the only ones I really like. Went with Giger. Smith and Dean have their moments. The ITCOTCK cover is wonderful as well, but unfortunately it was Godber's only artwork before he passed away in '70.

This one always pissed me off: so he's taken a nice photo and
completely destroyed it with cheap textures and standard photoshop
filters. Why? It would've made a great cover as it was originally. Now
it's a muddy claustrophobic mess.

I like Lassie's artwork and photography, but GfD wasn't good.
