I´m pretty sure you already know Psychotic Waltz, but otherwise "Into the Everflow" is a brilliant psychadelic tinged progressive metal album. A favorite of mine.

Here´s a vid of the title track:

Into the Everflow is my favorite PW album, and I have 3. Putting it on now.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Bleeding...I have "Morbid" from some sample someone gave me over the years. I have the other 3. Social Grace never did as much for me as I'd hoped.

Everflow rules.

Ha! I just remembered that these canadians got this song covered:

Does Voivod have more songs in this style? This cover is the only song I heard of them Embarrassed

I think you´d enjoy Bleeding too. It has a more simple vers/chorus approach than the rest of their discography but there are some pretty cool tracks on it like the title track and Locust.

Voivod is really cool but unfortunately that cover is not really representative of what they do.

I dont know, I'd say Bleeding and Mosquito are fairly similar in style, though Bleeding is much the better album as they seem to have gained more confidence with the new style there.

Yup. Brain Scan, X-ray Mirror, Jack Luminous would be good examples of their writing at the height of their psychedelic phase. I know people prefer Snakes vox, but I find Phobos to be an undervalued piece of art. And not just for the KC cover.

BTW, Samsara Blues Experiment are as heavy and trippy as hell:

I bought this a while back, it's a great little album.  A cheap download on Amazon, well worth the purchase.

I beg to differ, but we´re of course all entitled to an opinion.Smile I think the two albums have a very different sound. It´s true the vers/chorus formula is also more dominant on Mosquito than on the two predecessors but there are still unconventionally structured tracks on the album. "Mindsong" if of course the most obvious one, but most of the rest of the tracks also feature progressive elements and unconventional songwriting. "Bleeding" is generally more straight forward, also sound production wise.

Not exaclty Prog, but nicely psyche influenced and quite proggish, my suggestion would be Cathedral

Into the Everflow is a phenomenal album. I hope PW records a new album now that they're touring together again...
