Recommended. This song (where I'm at now) is more like a stoner rock song but the rest of the album is more sludgy post-metal. Like a fusion of Melvins, Sleep, ISIS, Baroness, Neurosis, and Pelican, with the psychedelic/experimental side of Boris and some Mogwai-esque post-rock break downs, and even some Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne clichés plus some Black Flag riffing as well with a touch of a blackened edge, and if you're really into underground the hardcore punk scene, I can even hear a some Pulling Teeth from Baltimore in this sound. Nothing I've never heard before, but a satisfying fusion of the above sounds with great production work (rocking a DR of 9). Edited by bardberic - July 28 2023 at 18:41 |
