At 23 I doubt you have ever experienced "crushing debt"

I misunderstood you on that point.

And that would have what to do with the discussion at all? It's actually a very poor assessment since most 23 year olds, fed miraculous fairy tales about the necessity and life changing prospect of a college education, led on by loans given out like candy, are just exiting colleges and universities which charge prices about 1000% higher than what they're worth. Six years in the higher educational system leaves you in crushing debt.

I was wrong to say the bit about crushing debt, as I have a son 22 in college right now and can sympathize with a 25 year old with a young family in this day and age, as for paying out on credit debt or "releveraging" as it is known I still say in the short term it will slow down the economy but On the long term it is just the medicine needed

I almost went to the Musician's Institute of Technology in LA after college...but it would have been almost $50,000 of loans that I would have no realistic way of paying off.
So I acrued even more debt, but at least I'm paying it off. It used to be crushing and now at 38 it's still friggin annoying.
As for the dynamics of the incredibly complex system that is the global economy, I don't know that anyone has any full understanding. Certainly some have a much better understanding than me. I'm not sure what has held it together as well as it has over the last years.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

You would be at risk of doing a 360 degree turn and going back to the beginning...
